Body: ...is a delightful looking PC game that I want VERY BADLY. In it, you plant flowers and use gardening skills to fend off a horde of the undead. Intriguing, yes. Boring, no. It looks a lot like a game I like to play called Plantasia, made by the creators of Diner Dash. Both ridiculously fun and entertaining. But, just wanted to alert the group to this marvel and see if anyone else has played it. Yay zombies!

Body: I had the great opportunity while in Scotland this last month to check out "Pontypool" at the Edinburgh film festival. I know this movie only just opened in the states, and I'm pretty sure its release is fairly limited, but I wanted to know if anyone had seen this yet, or wants to, or has any thoughts about it. I, for one, enjoyed the hell out of this movie and think everyone should go check it out. I think it's a really refreshing take on the conventions of the zombie genre, and probably my favorite new zombie movie (that I've seen) since "28 Days Later." Here's a link to the trailer

Body: In Seattle this weekend there is going to be a zombie walk where they are trying to get as many people as possible to break the Guiness Book of World Records for the longest zombie walk ever. I will not be a zombie, my friends think I am strange enough, but I will be doing something fun. On Friday night, the Fremont outdoor movies here in Seattle, is going to be showing Shaun of the Dead and having a best zombie costume contest. So this should be really fun! Just wondering if any other towns had things like this? I know around Halloween it is really a zombie fest. I've also heard that with Michael Jackson's death, there are places that are doing a "Thriller" walk and dance. Anything else happening or will happen one day in your area?

Body: Has anyone watched these short films? It is On Demand on cable and on www.fearnet.com - they are one hour horror films by different directors (kind of like Masters of Horror). Anyway, they have a really good one called New Years Day - I watched it a few times and kept catching different things. It's basically about a zombie apocalypse seen through the eyes of a woman that partied way too hard on New Year's Eve. It was really cool along with a lot of the other episodes. Has anyone else seen it?
