Body: Will Smith wants to star in a Bollywood film. The 'Hancock' actor - who has made his name by landing lead roles in a series of big blockbuster action movies - thinks it is time to try his hand at a different genre. He said: "I've made a couple of speculative deals in India. We've got some Bolly-Will movies going on!" Will also dismissed claims he is planning to make a follow-up to his hit movies 'Bad Boys' and 'Bad Boys 2'. He added to 'T4 Sunday' presenter Steve Jones: "I probably won't do that. There have been pitches, and the concept is genius for 'Bad Boys 3' but I've moved on now." It was recently reported Will had begged director Michael Bay to let him reprise his role for a third time because his son is such a big fan of the movies. Will and Martin Lawrence starred in the first film in 1995, with the sequel being released eight years later. Source
Body: Let me try this again. I really like Shashi Kapoor as an actor but have only seen him in merchant and ivory films. I know he is a very popular Indian actor, so I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good Bollywood movie that he is in. Thanks.
Body: Hey all, sorry I've been so lame and haven't gotten this thing started.Anyway, let's talk about Bollywood movies. I'm totally addicted to them. Bollywood refers to the film industry that's based in Mumbai (formerly Bombay) India. The word Bollywood is a combination of Bombay & Hollywood (but you probably figured that out). In India there are many different film industries throughout the country, Bollywood is just the most famous of them. Bollywood movies generally have the following features:- The dialog is in a combination of hindi & urdu with a little english thrown in here & there. - They are musicals. Once in a while there will be a Bollywood movie with no musical number, but that is very rare.- They are long. Bollywood movies tend to be about 3 hours long. The audience wants their money's worth.- They have romance, comedy and drama all in one movie.- There is never any nudity and almost never any sexual situations. In fact kissing is a big deal in Bollywood movies. Most of the time when a happy couple realize their love for each other you just get to see them hug. From my experience except for speaking different languages these themes are the same in the other Indian movie industries.I'll start a couple of other topics regarding famous actors/actresses and some regarding movies.Questions? Comments?
Body: There are many different people that you could consider to be Bollywood movie stars. I've chosen to mention just a couple of them. I've found that if you end up enjoying a performance by one of these people in one movie that you tend to enjoy them in most of their movies.Probably the most famous Bollywood actor is Amitabh Bachchan. He's been in over 150 movies and has played many different types of roles. In my opinion he's not a very good dancer, but he's very entertaining. His nickname is "Big B".Shah Rukh Khan is probably the most popular leading man in Bollywood movies today. His films are almost always fun to watch. Many people that don't watch Bollywood movies have heard about Aishwarya Rai. She's a former beauty queen turned movie star. Beyond just being eye candy, Ash can act & dance well too.In my opinion one of the best Bollywood actresses is Rani Mukherjee. She's got a great range of emotions, a very distinctive voice and always seems so genuine.Of course there's a bunch of others that are fun to watch as well, but these are some good ones to start with if you're new to the genre.
