Classic movie reviews

Find classic movie reviews
Today if you want to check out the latest movie reviews, you have to open up a newspaper or entertainment magazine, and all you get is a wide variety of opinions about new movie releases. Of course most of these are packed into easy-to-digest, 100-word bites for your convenience. Finding great classic movie reviews, however, ain't so easy anymore. That is unless, of course, you come to Spout.

Seriously, you can't take a step around this place without tripping over some classic movie reviews. You name it, we have:

  • horror movie reviews,
  • classic comedy movies,
  • reviews of classic family movies, and more.
They're stuffed between the couch cushions and piled up in the closets. To be sure, we offer a ridiculous amount of current movie reviews as well. But first things first.

Spout members offer classic movie reviews
From The Wizard of Oz, to Gone with the Wind, to Shanghai Surprise, Spout members leave classic movie reviews with substance because, like you, we live for this stuff. Come on, movies are more than just entertainment; the good ones can teach us a little bit about ourselves. And what better way to get into the good ones than through thoughtful classic movie reviews.

As a Spout member, you can leave some classic movie reviews of your own. But that, friend, is really just the tip of the ol' iceberg. Spout has tons of cool features that let you:

  • rate films,
  • list films,
  • tag films,
  • discuss films and
  • blog about films.
In all that, you're bound to find some sweet classic movie suggestions. And when you do, just saunter on over to the Spout store and pile your shopping cart to the rafters.

Makin' movie suggestions

Sure, Spout is bountiful in the classic movie reviews department, but man cannot live on classic movie reviews alone. We consider ourselves a pretty whimsical bunch 'round these parts, but if we used the kids' college funds to get this place off the ground on the premise that we'd just offer classic movie reviews, we'd have to have our heads examined...again.

Rather, at Spout, you can:

  • watch old movie trailers,
  • find upcoming movie trailers,
  • make lists of movies from "My Movie Suggestions" to "Movies I've Wiped Off My Shoe",
  • join and/or create groups that revolve around your cinematic fondity,
  • or just scan the joint for some really bizarre looking flicks.

Spout loves tags
One of the most dynamic (and downright fun) features that Spout users love is tagging. Essentially, a tag is a one-word description you can attach to a movie. For instance, if we say "Austin Powers" and you say "teeth", then "teeth" is a tag you can use. When you click on tags, you can get whole lists of movies others have tagged with that term.

If you are up for some real adventure, follow some of these terms: cult-classic, selkies, and my-eyes-oh-my-eyes. Just think, this weekend you could be curling up with a great, "my-eyes-oh-my-eyes" flick. Heh, and you were just looking for classic movie reviews.

Reviewing classic movies
When you get in the mix and start dropping some classic movie reviews of your own, you'll quickly start accumulating some new online friends who really know their stuff. As an online video community, we work hard to give you everything you're looking for.

And when you start interacting with others through blogs and discussions about horror movie reviews, the best comedy movies, or whatever, well then this place really starts to hum.

Warms the cockles doesn't it?
Hey, if you can't remember the last time you had you cockles warmed, then you really need to hit our registration page and make some magic start happenin'.

Funny Ha Ha - A Review

" First paragraph of a review that I posted last year:"If I'm in the mood for a Western, I want horses. If I'm in the mood for explosions, I go to a Jerry Bruckheimer or Michael Bay movie. In either case, I don't want, say, Max Von Sydow playing chess with Death in some black-and-white hovel on the rocky shores of Sturnnveggloven. In the same way, if I'm in the mood to watch ec ... " Saw this through The Netflix Watch Instantly thing and was blown away. This is well worth watching again. The lo-fi effects are ingenious. The acting is a hoot. I love nearly everything about this. The story is great: Ice pirates. Time warps. Sword play. Awesome. [More]"

" `The Quick-Quick-Slow Death' isn't necessarily the best episode of `The Avengers,' but is a good example of the high style and high spirits of the series. Some viewers may find it too campy, but it's the closest thing to surrealism in TV serial form of anything but `The Twilight Zone,' and generally in better humor. In the opening, a man is pushing a pram along a crowded ... [More]"
