Biography
Stephen B. Grimes spent most of his directing career working closely with distinguished filmmaker
John Huston and was honored with an Academy Award nomination for his art direction on
The Night of the Iguana (1964). Grimes started out working as Huston's assistant director on
Moby Dick (1956) and then became Huston's production designer. Later, Grimes worked with other directors, most notably
Sydney Pollack with whom he won Oscars for
