Biography

Russell Carpenter has been an active Hollywood cinematographer since 1988. His earliest credits include the horror films Critters 2: The Main Course (1988), Lady in White (1988) and Cameron's Closet (1989). Remaining with the scare genre into the 1990s, Carpenter occasionally ventured into the action/adventure field with projects like Perfect Weapon (1991). Some of Carpenter's most effective (and most stomach-churning) camera work has been for the Stephen King-inspired Lawnmower Man (1992) and Pet Sematery II (1993). ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
