Biography
French director and screenwriter Philippe Labro made several well-wrought films during the late '60s through the mid '70s. Born in Montauban, France he spent two years in the U.S. studying filmmaking at Washington and Lee University in Virginia. Following his return to France, Labro worked as a reporter on radio and in newspapers. During the early '60s he was a soldier in Algiers and then began writing for French television on short films, one of which he directed in 1967. ~ Sandra Brennan, All Movie Guide
