Biography
American writer/producer Henry Blankfort was most active in the years 1942 to 1950. Blankfort's best-remembered credit was the 1942 "omnibus" film Tales of Manhattan. Overall, he seemed less interested in pursuing his Hollywood career and more concerned with politics; in fact, he was one of Tinseltown's most radical communists. It is hardly surprising, then, that Blankfort found himself virtually jobless during the Hollywood Blacklist years.
