Biography
American cinematographer Alfred Keller photographed many films for Republic and RKO during the 1940s. He began his film career in the 1920s as a child actor. While attending college, he worked as a film loader at Columbia. Later he worked as a focus puller and cameraman for
Frank Capra. Eventually, Keller was promoted to work as an assistant to
Joseph Walker (Capra's cinematographer). He became a full-fledged lighting director in the '40s. From the '50s on, Keller primarily photographed television shows. ~ Sandra Brennan, All Movie Guide
