Biography

Hungary-born art director William S. Darling, born Wilhelm Sandorhazi, got his start in Hollywood in 1920. He began working with 20th Century-Fox around 1933 and it was with this studio that he earned the most recognition for his work on such films as Song of Bernadette (1943) and Anna and the King of Siam (1946). ~ Sandra Brennan, All Movie Guide
