Versatile Italian cinematographer Tonino Delli Colli lensed his country's first color film
Toto a Colori in 1951. He is also known for his brightly colored landscapes in the '60s westerns of Sergio Leone and the powerful use of black and white photography in urban dramas. Delli Colli got his start as a teen working as a camera assistant. He became a lighting director at age 21.
