Buffalo Bill,
Howard Hawks'
I Was a Male War Bride,
Henry Hathaway's
The Desert Fox and
23 Paces to Baker Street, and Joseph L. Mankiewicz'
Five Fingers. Clark began directing in 1957 with the war drama
Under Fire. He went on to specialize in nature and adventure films aimed at young audiences, such as
Flipper,
Island of the Blue Dolphins,
My Side of the Mountain, and
