Biography

Producer-director-writer Ivar Campbell was an inescapable presence in the British film industry of the 1930s. Campbell devoted most of his energies to low-budget programmers and quota quickies, working with a young Valerie Hobson in his 1933 Eyes of Faith and directing 1937's Belles of Saint Clements, scripted by up-and-coming Terence Rattigan. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
