Biography

New Zealand-born producer Andrew Brown spent the 1960s and 1970s in Great Britain, producing television programs for Thames. He started out with the BBC as a script editor. In the 1970s, he produced Edward and Mrs. Simpson and in 1983 he produced Kennedy. In the 1980s, Brown worked on British co-productions with his native land. These included Alan Bennett's Prick Up Your Ears (1986). Brown was a member of the Mariposa Film Group. ~ Sandra Brennan, All Movie Guide
