Biography
Before turning to producing, Richard Brick was a production manager on many films. These include
The Trials of Alger Hiss (1980),
Silkwood (1983), and
Places in the Heart (1984). Between 1988 and 1989, he chaired the graduate film division at Columbia University. He was the Commissioner of the New York Mayor's Office of Film, Theater, and Broadcasting from 1992 to 1994 and has headed the board for the Independent Feature Project since the mid-'90s. Brick's film credits as a producer include
Hangin' With the Homeboys (1991) and
Woody Allen's
