Biography
Spanish filmmaker and screenwriter Luis Alcoriza began in the film industry as a teenage actor in theatrical productions throughout Europe. He then went on to act in Mexican films until the late 1940s when he began screenwriting. In this capacity, Alcoriza is best known for his collaborations with famed director Luis Buñuel. Alcoriza became a director himself in the early 1960s, but his films, though popular in Mexico, have received little notice in international cinema. ~ Sandra Brennan, All Movie Guide
