Biography

From the vaudeville team of Williams and Wolfus ("Wolfus" was wife Hulda Wolfus), Herb Williams interrupted the operatic proceedings as a wandering insurance salesman in the second screen version of David Belasco's Rose of the Rancho (1936). The operetta proved the vaudevillian's sole feature-film appearance. ~ Hans J. Wollstein, All Movie Guide
