Biography
French cinematographer Jean Bachelet began his career as a newsreel cameraman for the Gaumont film company in 1912. He became a lighting director in 1924 and went on to shoot over 150 films, including some of Jean Renoir's most acclaimed films of the '20s and '30s. ~ Sandra Brennan, All Movie Guide
