Biography
British actor and screenwriter Colin Welland made his big-screen debut in 1969 following experience as a television actor and writer. Following the screenplay for
John Schlesinger's
Yanks in 1979, he focused more on the writing aspect of his career and only made occasional forays into acting. In 1981, his screenplay for
