Biography
A Hollywood screenwriter from 1928, Wellyn Totman remained active until 1941. From the early talkie era onward, Totman specialized in B-Westerns and outdoor actioners. A handful of his films had a maritime background, notably
Albany Night Boat (1928) and
Mystery Liner (1934). Employed by Mascot Studios in the mid-'30s, Wellyn Totman remained with the firm when it matriculated into Republic Pictures. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
