American screenwriter Edmund H. North is the son of theatrical actor and occasional film producer Robert North. Edmund North began his own career in the mid-'30s and worked up until WWII, when he quit to serve as a major in the Army Signal Corps for five years. North was noted for writing and co-writing interesting stories; he worked for many different studios. In 1970, North and
