Biography

American playwright Max Marcin was well-represented on screen from 1919 onward. Most of Marcin's most popular theater pieces were made into films (and sometimes refilmed), including Cheating Cheaters, Three Live Ghosts, The Eyes of Youth and The Woman in Room 13. He also created the radio program which inspired Columbia's "Crime Doctor" series. Max Marcin's movie activities included two directorial efforts, Lawyer's Secrets (1931) and Gambling Ship (1933). ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
