Biography

American screenwriter Mary Loos entered films in 1946. Loos spent the next two years working on the bigger-budgeted efforts of "bread and butter" studios Republic and Monogram. She made it to The Majors in 1949, scripting 20th Century-Fox's sound-alike (but not look-alike) productions Mother was a Freshman and Father Was Fullback. Mary Loos remained at Fox until 1954, then free-lanced until she left films two years later. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
