Biography
American writer/producer/director P.J. Wolfson was active in films from 1931 to 1948. Wolfson worked as a screenwriter at most of the big studios, including Warner Bros. (
Picture Snatcher), MGM (
Mad Love), and RKO Radio (
Vivacious Lady). While at RKO, he produced the
John Wayne vehicle
Allegheny Uprising (1939) and functioned as both producer and director of the low-budget exposé feature
Boy Slaves (1939). P. J. Wolfson moved to Paramount as a producer in the 1940s, where his output included
Alan Ladd's
Saigon (1947) and
Betty Hutton's
