Italian performer Matteo Sciabordi debuted onscreen on a prestigious note as a child actor, by fleshing out a pivotal role for celebrated director
Spike Lee in that filmmaker's period drama Miracle at St. Anna (2008). In the motion picture, Sciabordi portrays a young Italian tyke saved by a platoon of American soldiers during World War II whose rescue invariably causes the military men to get left behind by their squadron.
