Actress Mary Pat Gleason debuted onscreen in the early '80s (with a bit part in the 1983
Rodney Dangerfield comedy
Easy Money) and tackled a series of character portrayals in a variety of genres over the following decades. She specialized in playing dowdy, overweight, and slightly assertive matronly types, including waitresses, nurses, and librarians. Gleason's extensive resumé includes the films
