Biography
Marcello Danon produced a number of French-Italian collaborations, but is best known for producing and co-writing
La Cage aux Folles (1978) and its 1980 and 1985 sequels. Danon has also worked as a co-producer on such films as Riffifi (1954) and La Grand Escogriffe (1977). His daughter, Ambra Danon, became a noted costumer in Italian theater. Danon died in Rome on January 21, 1997. The cause of death was undisclosed. ~ Sandra Brennan, All Movie Guide
