Biography
As one of Hollywood's most prominent producers,
Howard Koch has worked on many distinguished films. Over a career of more than 40 years, he has been involved in almost every aspect of filmmaking. His entry into the entertainment industry came via British talent agent Harold Davison, whom he met while on sabbatical from U.C.L.A. Once behind the scenes, Koch quickly learned skills ranging from supervising post-production, to acting as a second unit and assistant director, to story development. Between 1987 and 1988, Koch served as the head of the DeLaurentis Entertainment Group. He had his first credit as a producer with
Once Is Not Enough (1975). Some of Koch's best known productions include
Gorky Park (1983),
The Long Walk Home (1989),
Ghost (1990), and
Losing Isaiah (1995). Since the latter half of the 1990s, Koch has functioned as an executive producer.
