Biography
Director Francis D. Lyon started out as an editor for the British production company Rank Films and worked on such productions as Hyptonized (1932) and
Rembrandt (1936). He moved to Hollywood in the '40s and earned an Oscar for his editing of
Body and Soul (1947). Lyon began directing in 1953 with Crazy Legs, All American and went on to specialize in average-quality adventures. He has also directed numerous episodes of television series like
