Biography

Listed in many sources as a writer/producer, Eugene Ling's screen credits were almost exclusively in the writing category. Ling first gained notice at 20th Century-Fox in 1946. His assignments included such programmers as Shock and It Shouldn't Happen to a Dog. His last burst of activity was at Columbia between 1950 and 1952. Eugene Ling's Columbia output included the moody crime melodramas Between Midnight and Dawn (1950) and Loan Shark (1952). ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
