Biography
American screenwriter Doris Schroeder came to films in 1913; her first assignment was the now-lost Heart of a Jewess. During the 1920s, Schroeder specialized in "women's pictures" for such specialized directors as
Lois Weber. After a period of inactivity, she returned to films with the independently produced
Crimson Romance. Thereafter, and until her retirement in 1949, Doris Schroeder concentrated on Westerns, including several entries in the
