Biography
Barlow Jacobs is a writer, actor and producer. His first success came with his role as a delusional petting zoo instructor in the short film Monkey Bars. Barlow followed that with a lead role, opposite Michael Shannon, in Jeff Nichols, Shotgun Stories (2008 release). He then took the lead role in Zack Godshall award winning short film, Absolution. Soon after, was a role Craig Zobel's Great World Of Sound (Magnolia 2007). It was then that Barlow took on his most ambitious project to date, taking on the roles of Writer, Actor and Producer for Zack Godshall's critically acclaimed film, Low And Behold (2008 release). His most recent role was in the Michael Almereyda film, New Orleans, Mon Amour (2008 release).
Barlow's script, Turkey In The Straw, co-written with Craig Zobel (who will also direct) was recently picked up by Plum Pictures and Elephant Eye. He also has two scripts in development, Git’s Til 11 (for Sugar Film Production’s) a kids adventure movie with David Gordon Green.
