Biography
Art director Andrew Precht worked on a number of big-budget films of the '80s and '90s. They ranged in theme from drama (
Misery), to historical re-creations (
Legends of the Fall and
Glory), to Gothic horror (
Bram Stoker's Dracula), to sci-fi/fantasy (
The Abyss and
Hook). Before entering the film industry, Precht earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Southern California and earned a masters from the Southern California Institute of Architecture. Precht was the son of television producer Robert Precht and the grandson of
Ed Sullivan. He died of unreported causes during the filming of
Ridley Scott's
