F is for Freaking Fantastic Fall Films
Generation DIY now available 2007_08_21_diy
Benten Films releases LOL on DVD fully loaded with special features (think Criterion Collection) like commentary with director Joe Swanberg.

The DVD release kicks off The New Talkies: Generation DIY, IFC's festival of "mumblecore" movies. Karina Longworth is there this week interviewing the filmmakers and covering the films.

But what these films understand all too well is that the tentative drift of the in-between years masks quietly seismic shifts that are apparent only in hindsight. Mumblecore narratives hinge less on plot points than on the tipping points in interpersonal relationships.
