Where are they filming?
By esjae31 in I Heart New York Films
"I need a friend in the Mayor's Film Office to let me know what films are currently being taped in the city. Does anybody work around or live near a filmset? What film? Who's in it? Where are they filming? Hell, this is good first date meet-up material...so spill it aye! " [More]

"Good flick. I'm a big forensic fan. Would see it again. and P.S. Zodiac wouldn't stand a snowball's chance in hell of getting away in today's overtly surrveiled society (store cameras, camera phones,etc.). He was able to surivive simply because Bill Gates was in elementary school! (SO, there was no advancement in electronics...) Get the jist? No? Well... then... ummmm... oh yeah that's my simple review. " [More]

Know Any Famous NY Film Spots?
By esjae31 in I Heart New York Films
"Recently, they dismantled the dance floor that John Travolta made famous out here in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. Not to mention that Time Square (the former home of sex peddlers and dope fiends) has been transformed into a mini-Vegas strip (what would Travis Bickle say? other than "You talkin' to me?) Point being, What Famous New York City locations do you know of? What movie(s) was it in? How do you get there? Would someone notice it if they passed it? " [More]

"I don't have any problem with some of Jim Carrey's dramatic work ( Spotless MInd; Man In The Moon... very entertaining ) but I'm left a bit clueless to this choice of script. I really hate thrillers that seem to have all the ingredients to get you engaged in the story and then with the stroke of a bland twist leave you wishing you didn't fall head-first into the story at all. This is one of those films. Not to mention you can never watch it again after that darn twist! The idea of finding numbers in major events and environments is a good plot device and it more than easily carries this film thru the midway mark. But alast the film sucumbs to a cliche plot twist near the finish line and your left feeling like you began watching a hollywood sleeper hit and ended watching a Lifetime movie of the week. You know.... I'd have preferred if JIm, Jeff (Goldblum) and Damon (Wayans) did a sequel to "Earth Girls are Easy!" You know...That wasn't witty...scra ... " [More]
