who will become a classic....
By moviebuff2010 in It's a Wonderful Night for Oscar!
"We all have our faves but who will be remembered as a classic actor in the future. Today we have Audrey, and Gene and Cary....but which actors today are deserving enough to be awarded such a title as "classic". In my opinion I think Meryl Streep will definatly be remembered as one of the greatest actresses of all time. Sean Penn has made a name for himself, and then there are the women who have been around forever, Maggie Smith, Judi Dench and so on and so forth. And for a question within a question...just because I am curious....Do you think an actress or actor has to die to become a classic? Just wanted the opinion of a few experts. " [More]

"I didn't like the top ten picks at all actually. I think casablanca is more deserving than citizen kane though. For the most part the only movies in the top ten that I agreed with were Gone with the Wind, The Wizard of Oz, and Casablanca. I would have liked to see a few of Audrey Hepburn's movies in there myself. Not because I am a huge Audrey fann (which I am) but because the were brilliantly done movies. The Children's Hour was groundbreaking and yet, I don't see it on any list. Breakfast at Tiffany's is considered a classic along with My Fair Lady and I missed the beginning of the show so correct me if I am wrong...Were these on the list? So no in my opinion Citizen Kane is NOT the greatest movie of all time. " [More]
Amazing Films

"I think the 1960's were good years for movie makers. They had some amazing films come out of the 60's and this is definatly one of them. Considering that same sex relationships were not ever talked about in those days I found it very amazing that they made a movie about such a topic. However it is a classic and good one at that. It just goes to show that one lie can turn into an evil epidemic. I recently found out that Katherine Hepburn and Doris Day were originally supposed to be casted as the main characters but Audrey and Shirley ended up with the roles instead and I really don't think that anyone else could have done a better job. I actually couldn't picture the movie without them. " [More]

"seriously James Garner and Doris Day...need I say more. Ok I don't think I do but I will. Why can't they make more romantic comedies like these. I think this is a remake but I'm not sure. Anyway, I am not a pro at movie reviews so all have to say is I love it and if you don't thats your problem! " [More]
