  • Great Movie, ended poorly.

Like most black and white classics, this film lived up to my expectations of it. I wasn't aware that it was a sequal until after I watched it, but I intend to find the original. I enjoyed the plot and the character portrayals, but I was quite dissatisfied with the ending. SPOILER: I couldn't believe that the kids were accidentally killed after they had shown that they were willing to negotiate. I want to know what happened after the movie ended, and what would have happened if the screw driver hadn't hit the alarm...

All in all, this movie goes down in my list of favourite classics.

  • Casting is everything.

Jennifer Love Hewitt preforms impeccably as Audry Hepburn, portraying her as the wonderfully poised, charismatic actress we knew her to be. No other actress of our time would have been able to play Ms. Hepburn with such grace. Her accent and actions mirrored those of Hepburn's without apparent difficulty, allowing the viewer to forget that he/she was not watching Hepburn herself.

Despite some minor descrepencies in the details of Audry's life and some directing faux-paux (Hewitt enters from the wrong side of the screen when filming the "Breakfast at Tiffany's" scene etc.), this movie highlighted Audry Hepburn's early life and career as a beloved actress very well.
