"Stephen King wrote a book about me."
Personal statement:

I like movies & popcorn.  I enjoy sitting through end credits.  Also, I looked like young Linda Blair when I was little.

"I saw The Strangers. I'd give it a 2/5. There wasn't really a plot, just people being chased in and out of their house all night. There was no explination as to why the strangers were doing what they were doing, which wasn't necessarily needed, but this movie needed something else to make itinteresting, and it just didn't have anything. It basically went like this::: Couple fights Creeps show up Long game of hide and seek End Credits *shrug* just didn't do it for me " [More]

"June that is a crazy story! I love it! Although it probably wasn't that entertaining at the time.I've only seen one nun movie that I can think of, which was already mentioned, The Nun. I don't remember much, whether because it was a long time ago or because my friends and I were all slightly inebriated, but I do remember that it was pretty bad... and not laughably bad, just bad. Musicians' Forte Isn't Always M ...

"Before the Music Dies opens viewers' eyes to what has been happening not in the music industry per se, but to music itself. Not to be confused with the history of music, but rather how in present day, record labels' pre-packaged pieces of eye candy with little or no talent are the ones given contracts and then glorified by the media. It's about real, independant musicians not only being harder to come by (especially if you're still listening to the radio for your source of 'new' music - try the internet instead), but also less likely to flourish. For two guys that, according to IMDB, had never made a film before, the movie is impressive. They interviewed some really talented and informed people. My only qualm with the film was that the pacing was a little too fast at many points. Besides that, I think it's a great film to raise questions and conversation about music and where it's headed. "I'm so glad you watched Gingerdead Man! When I read that I had to smile. I hope you weren't actually expecting a horror film though... but who doesn't love comedy-horrors?! And Gary Busey, of course. [quote user="divinemsjunebug"] Okay I saw Gingerdead Man and No Such Thing this weekend. Gingerdead man was pretty fun, some of the acting was a little bad but Gary Busey was his crazy self, I wish they would have shown more of him and his antics, that was pretty clever. No Such Thing was really good. I had to stop analyzing the movie because it bugged me that this ancient monster that was hiding out in IceLand had perfect sarcastic American Speech. But it really had an endearing quality to it and was very sad. You really could understand how the monster was feeling. Thanks for mentioning those movies, I love seeing films I have never seen before. [/quote] " [More]

"Holy shit. This movie was crazy, and I loved every minute of it. Yes, she has teeth in her vagina... or her vagina has teeth, or something - but you should already know that from the trailer. Going in to this movie you have to know that it's going to be kind of ridiculous, and it is - but in just the right way. Squeamish you have no dick parts, check; humorous vagina with razor sharp teeth parts, check. Without giving away the quote, when she goes to the gynocologist, he yells something at the top of his lungs at one point, and trust me, as someone that tends not to 'lol' a lot, you will spit out your soda and choke on your popcorn. I had to rewind and watch it again, it was my favorite part of the movie and I hope to quote it in future awkwardly drunk situations. I will be talking about this movie for awhile, you should definitely check it out /it's fun to make little chomping noises whenever you mention the movie " [More]

"WHOA Ellen Page, whoa. That was first. This is second. Even knowing what this movie was about prior to viewing it, I was still completely shocked. It was an edge-of-your-seat-where-the-he ll-is-this-going movie that had me too terrified to look away.Third and last. I recommend this movie. I do not recommend watching it on a train where other people around you may be able to catch glimpses of what's happening on screen, as my friend and I did. We more than once paused it, stared at each other in disbelief for awhile, debated whether to continue, and then started up again. Let's leave it at that. " [More]

"This movie will have you in stiches. Every charactor makes you laugh, and Alan Tudyk on drugs is to die for (oh the pun!). I saw it in theaters and the audience was dying with laughter... before I write any more horrible puns, let me just say this movie will have you laughing through out; and don't worry, if you don't like 'dry british humour' it doesn't matter, it's not that type of comedy. Grab some friends and enjoy! " [More]

"What to say what to say... as a lover of B-movie horror flicks that have gone totally wrong, I must say this is quite spectacular. The acting was terrible, the writing was worse, the sound effects don't even pass and the camera angles/lighting would make any professional want to kill... a fetus? KILLER FETUS! How could that not be a good plot line?Even before viewing this movie I was laughing at the tag-line "All he wanted was a cuddle". Some lines I enjoyed, "You don't raise your voice to big mama!" and through out the beginning of the film various characters would continue to command someone to do something, followed by an elongated pause and then "NOW!" at which point the person would listen. My friends and I can't stop quoting this movie. And don't forget the guy that gets outside the house, and is surrounded by a hand knit blanket of yarn environment, or how Big Mama looks like a combination of a referee and Beetle Juice. "'Palindromes' was probably the oddest film I have seen so far, but I kind of liked it. Every controversial topic, from abortion to sex to pedophilia is in it, and although you may have opinions on these topics it really makes you question them. The whole "let's change the main character’s actress every scene" was not as weird as you might imagine... it just further emphasized the point of the film that it doesn’t matter what you look like or how you appear to others, you're always the same person no matter what age you are, no matter how you change your appearance - you can't change who you are. I read somewhere that this was showing us how Aviva [the main character] kept viewing herself differently, but I took it more along the lines of looks don't matter, only personality really counts. Towards the end of the film a supporting charactor sums up this whole idea quite nicely. As dark as it is, there are a couple funny parts, although ... " [More]
