"Hahaha! Great stuff! That opening shot would be awesome. And probably cost more than the whole first movie. But then again, that's the way sequels normally go, isn't it? I like the dialogue, too. Nice work! "

"Well, it really doesn't specify that, other than the fact that it's definitely a TV deal (Sci-Fi Channel has a web channel as well...) If our show makes it to air, I'm sure that - of all shows - this one will be made available online as well. I know you can buy a lot of shows through iTunes for like a dollar apiece - I caught up on 'Lost' one season that way. "

"Thanks so much for helping spread the word! I'll have to stop by and check the other 6 movies out. You're like a mini film distributor! Krougeau Pictures Classics! "

"Hey! We made 'Harold Buttleman' in every way like a "real" movie - in other words, we had a skilled sound recordist and boom operator on set, we shot on 35mm film, we edited on the Avid and had a seperate sound mix in ProTools. As for "God, Inc", however, it was really shot like a home movie - I followed actors around with my Canon XL2, and I was suprised how good the audio was from the onboard mic. I didn't have the time or money to have a sound recordist on that set - we shot the whole thing in 4 days. And I edited "GI" in Final Cut Pro, which is a few hundred bucks but well worth it if you're interested in getting into more involved projects - it's an amazing program. I hear there's a lot you can do with iMovie, but I've never used it, and I've never used Windows Movie Maker...It just all depends on what your needs are, and what your budget is. Good luck! "

"That's right - in fact, we never used a stunt man. John does all his own stunts in the movie. For the tire roll, we had him strapped into the tire with a harness that a stunt man built for us. I actually met him very serendipitously - I was scouting locations and wanted to use that hill, and it was empty but there were two people off-roading in the mud. So I went up and asked them who owns the property, and it turned out one of them was a stunt man. He built the harness for us, so John was strapped in as he rolled down the hill. "

"It's just called "Tangerine", if I remember correctly. Rob Laufer is singing and he and Eric Drew Feldman composed it. I love that song.Unfortunately, because I'm doing my outro, you don't really get to hear the song they did for the ending credits in the YouTube version. Stephanie Jane Markham, who plays Nettie, wrote the song "Daredevil Man" that she sings in the beginning. I asked both Eric and Rob and John Hawkes' band King Straggler if they wanted to do cover versions for the ending credits. The one you hear when the credits kick in is the King Straggler version - upbeat folk rock. But Eric and Rob's, which takes over after a couple minutes, is completely opposite - brooding and sort of synthy, like if Depeche Mode covered "Daredevil Man". It's great. "

"It was shot by Thomas Hargis. Very talented photographer and cinematographer.By the way, I'm doing all the operating on the video portions. Many of them were shot in 2000, and then I edited together a trailer to raise the money for the 35mm film portion. We shot that in January 2001. "

"Haha - it is a tough act to follow, I'll give you that. I guess I needed to come back down to earth for a while. But, as you know, I'm still in God's hands - or God is in my hands - or God's hands are in my hands - or whatever, over at the Sci-Fi Channel. We had our first meeting on 'God, Inc' Monday, and we're about to start writing the pilot script. "

"There is a huge number of talented musicians who contributed to the soundtrack of "Harold Buttleman" and I've been getting a lot of questions about it, so if you have any questions about the music, feel free to ask here! "

"This is a discussion for any other indie film and videomakers out there who have questions about how we made "Harold Buttleman" on a shoestring budget - technical questions, producing dilemmas or other people's war stories... "
