Personal statement:

Hello Everyone,

I have been absent for a while now, and thought, that since the owners of our building finally broke down and fixed our internet problems after being off for a month, that I should stop in and see how everyone has been doing.

Playing catch up after so long has been difficult, but I am managing. Lol.

I am a 49 yr.old mother of 6. 3 girls, 3 boys, and we just welcomed our 3rd grand baby girl into the world on August 22. She is so  adorable.

There will be 2 more coming from 2 of our other daughters in February and April of next year. Can't wait for Christmas 09.

We will be having fun this Christmas too.lol.Finally get to play Santa and Mrs.,after 16 yrs. Can't wait. yay.

One of my friends, has been sending me invites to so many cool sites, and one, was a blog site, where I signed up,and have been learning about blogging. It's been a great learning experience, and i have been learning how to create interesting content for many people.

I am happy to see all of you again, and can't wait to meet more people here. Have a great week

"Hello,How many people here, have seen the movie,"Raising Helen", with Kate Hudson, starring in the title role?I love that movie. We own it. Anyway. I loved that movie, because I have 3 sisters, myself, and I could never imagine ever, losing any ot them in death.Although, we are all very different from one another, we do share some views. Helen, is a young, beautiful, successful woman, who lives the perfect life. She's a sister,an Aunt, and a friend, has money, works for a huge ad agency, and works with all the top models. She goes to all the shows, books the best and most popular models for print work, ramp modeling, and other things that involve modeling. She has an older sister, played by Joan Cusack, and an even older sister,Lindsay(actress name escapes me,sorry), who is married, has 3 kids, and is very, very close to Helen,in a way that Joans' character, envies. Even though she, is married herself,is a great Mom,and has a lot of really nice things.Well, Helen, is very close ... " [More]

"This movie scared the hl out of me at every turn. It was so beautifully done, with that huge, pale white man, who always said,"Boy". He really creeped me out. A few years ago, I had a couple of friends who actually owned one of the black cudas used in the movie. It was a beautiful, but, stripped down car. All black, with one heck of a powerful engine that scared me to ride it,but, I still did. lol. The movie had blood, screams, ghosts, demons,fr ightened girls and boys, plenty of dark, spooky corners for the baddies to hide in.I loved the movie. I would highly recommend it for a Halloween Party,or, just to watch with a few friends. make sure it's a good mix of females and males. " [More]

"My entire family loves this movie, and, we own it.It's about Amanda Shelton(Gellar) who has interited her Mothers' Restaurant,The Southern Cross',which has it's loyal patrons, who are there, every day. When Amanda discovers that her restaurant has been going under, and the new landlord has raised the rent to a whopping, $5,000per month, she and her Aunt(Betty Buckley), think that they will have to close the restaurant, after it has been in operation for over 70 years. Amanda has lost all enthyusiasm, and is not inspired,at all. Until an early morning shopping spree to the local farmers' market, where, she meets Riley, and he points her in the direction of Tom,a top exec of Henri Bendl's. He is in the midst of building a up-scale restaurant, and has hired a pain in the butt, but, very popular Chef, Valderon. They talk for a few minutes, then, go their separate ways. Tom, is a very intelligent young man, with a lot on the ball, except, he is totally unlucky in love, and ... " [More]

"Hello,I was wondering what people thought of the movie,"Simply Irresistable".I loved that movie that starred Sarah Michelle Gellar,Sean Patrick Flanery, and, Patricia Clarkson.A very cute, funny, quirky movie about Amanda Shelton,a young woman who inherits a family restaurant from her Mother, after the mother dies. Betty Buckley(Carrie) is her Aunt, and they agree to run the restaurant together. But, Amanda isn't the grea cook her mother was. To her, her life has been just ordinary, and when she is at the local farmers' market, doing the morning restaurant shopping, she meets Riley, an Angel and friend of her late mothers'. Only, she doesn't know, he is a current friend of her late mothers'.While doing the morning shopping, she has a conversation with Riley, and, when Amanda sees Tom(Flanery), she doesn't know who he is, but, Riley says,"Oh, good. You've spotted him". She tells him, she's never heard of him before, and he replies,&quo ... " [More]

"I love Sandra Bullock, and most of her movies, but, this was a good movie, and I am not sure which way to go with this one. I spend a lot of time, watching shows like,"Forensic Files","Cold Case Files, and shows of this genre, but, I think the way they did this movie, was somewhat believable, and, Sandra Bullock does have the intelligence to pull this kind of role off. Her character was a victim of domestic violence, and, seemed to be working off repressed memories of her own, that helped her throughout the investigation of the murder of the girl. Richard Gosling isn't one of my favorite actors, but, he does play a really good, bad kid,and his characters make you believe he could pull off this kind of crime. Michael Pitt, played Justin Pendleton,a young man who was, in my opinion, a very disturbed individual who was a follower, and became the leader type, and could, eventually, pull off the same thing,if ever put in that situation. I liked this movie, but,I don't have any ... " [More]

"I had wanted to see this movie just from the trailers alone.I finally found it at Walmart about a month or so ago,and bought it for $19.99.I love this movie so much, I watch it every day.The story line is very well done, and easy to follow. The photography is beautifully done. You get a chance to see a country not many U.S. citizens get to see. The movie is set in Bucharest,Romania which is a country steeped in history, beginning with the legend of Dracula. The original Dracula, known as Vlad the Impaler, and his castle still stands in Transylvania,Romania. This story is about the legend of the "Lu Garue". People who can shape-shift from human form to that of a wolf. Not the typical stereo type of the werewolves, but,an actual wolf. The changes they make are so beautifully done, and there is no pain involved for the Lu Garue. It seems to have a very spiritual feel and look to it.It is about a young girl by the name of Vivian, and her "pack". She lives with her Aunt As ... " [More]

"It is my opinion, and that of many others I know, that helped lend the entire feel to Queen of the Damned. Her youthful good looks, voice, and seemingly, brooding, woeful take on Jessie's whole demeaner, was perfect in that she is a young girl, who's been left without a family, except for an Aunt Majarette, who, herself, has been a victim of Akasha's, and her whole sense of family, and the love that comes with that, still remains, and she still possesses enough human feelings, that she strives to maintain enough of what is left of her family, to try and keep a balance between the Vampire community and that of the normal, human race. Jessie is a young girl caught in between both worlds, and what better(maybe too obvious) choice for her than that of Lestat, portrayed by the ever gorgeous, Stuart Townsend. She has the whole thing working for her in the wardrobe, looks, haircolor, build, and sadness that she should have had, to match Stuart Townsends, portrayal of Lestat. I loved Vincent Pere ... " [More]
My Take on Queen of the Damned

"I loved this movie so much, I bought it. It was Aaliyah's last movie, and she died before getting to see it finished. I haven't liked Tom Cruise sinceRisky Business and The Minority Report, and the idea of replacing him with Stuart Townsend, was a brilliant switch. Lestat is and always has, been portrayed as a very sexy vampire with a conscience. Stuart Townsends, portrayal of Lestat, was as it should have been. Sexy, brooding voice and personality combined, really brought the character to life for not only me, but my huge family and many friends. I have built an entire community out of this movie. Aaliyah, was so very beautiful and very convincing in her portrayal of the Queen, and as she was supposed to be played. The right looks, sound, and body language, are what made Aaliyah & Stuart Townsend the perfect pairing. " [More]
