"28 Days Later is one of my favourite movies. Unlike Dawn of the Dead, Land of the Dead, and a myriad of other zombie flicks, this movie is somewhat more realistic. Every day we're forced to come to terms with various infections and diseases in our world. AIDS, the avian flu virus, mad cow disease, rabies; they're all simple to contract and what's to say 'rage' is not a weapon of biological warfare hiding in some bunker in Germany. That's definitely what made me love the prequel to 28 Weeks Later, it had relevance. The soundtrack and cinematography was absolutely fantastic, but with the release of 28 Weeks Later, I was all that impressed. The soundtrack was basically a rip-off of 28 Days Later, I kept on hearing 'In The House-In A Heartbeat' and one new song, but that was the jist of it. I found that rather disappointing. Besides that letdown, I was impressed by how this film showed what actually happened when infection broke out, something we didn ... " [More]

"This film really made me reconsider my feelings towards Andy Warhol. Although I'm aware this is a bias movie, as Bob Dylan's real name couldn't even be used, I came to see a side of Andy's art that I really despised. I thought this was really well done, the scenes were shot nicely, the use of lighting was superb, and I was entangled in it from beginning to end. Hayden Christensen was remarkably handsome, and Sienna did a very good job in portraying Edie. " [More]

"In this 89 minute documentary, Rob Stewart takes you on an emotional rollercoaster that explores the disgusting truth about the shark fin trade. These beautiful animals are ripped from the ocean, and seduced by the curiousity, they become entangled in bated hooks that stretch miles and miles across the oceans. Their fins are sliced off (many while they're still alive), and left to bleed out in the ocean. This graphic film shows us the truth about sharks, the misconceptions that we all have about these creatures, and how important is it for us to fight to keep them alive. These beautiful animals have been here for hundreds of millions of years; and we, only a few blinks of an eye. Through visuals, commentaries from experts, and Rob's own struggles to fight against the shark finning industry, we are left to face the fact that this slaughter has endangered species, and will eventually pose a threat to us. By un-needed death, we are upsetting a crucial balance in the oceans, an ... " [More]
