"When combining action, with the laughter of Eddie Murphy and the sweet sound from Harold Faltermeyers Axel F you get pure entertainment. Beverly Hills Cop made the trilogy journey which indicates a strong first movie. IMDB describes the plot plain and simple: “A freewheeling Detroit cop pursuing a murder investigation finds himself dealing with the very different culture of Beverly Hills.”The first movie was a big buzz in the 80’s when Eddie Murphy made a funny cop movie with plenty of action combined with ladies around poles, a concept that will go strong even in the long run. Haven’t seen it? Well you should, and if you like it the sequels are worth seeing as well. " [More]
A remake would do it

"I was a bit surprised to see that no one hade reviewed this movie. I mean who wouldn’t like to se Keanu Reeves in a pre-matrix movie as a data courier. Pure sci-fi in the spirit of cybertech that you actually would believe in today, well at least some of it. Williams Gibson’s original short story, which the movie is based on, could easily fit right into today’s Hollywood projects, a grand adventure in a somewhat realistic future. But Johnny Mnemonic is not only hard to pronounce but also a bit difficult to watch. But if you could see past the weirdness and poor execution of this old sci-fi movie you might like it for the ambition and the story, this classic movie about the future of cybertech. So if you like sci-fi and don’t care about a week production you will like it and proclaim it as cult. For the rest of you, cross your finger and whish for a remake and see that one instead. I will do both. " [More]

"I will make it simple for you to decide whatever you should see this movie or not. Do you have experience from a divorce in your family or from a friend? Perhaps you are in a long-term relationship that is running on routine? Then Dinner with friends is a movie that you should see.The production is not grand but that is not the point. This movie will give you something to think about when it comes to relationships and the difficulty of managing changes, or sometimes the lack of…To conclude: A contemplative movie, well worth seeing, that will leave you reflecting over the complexity of relationships. Of the shelf - 400 something

"So the launch is done. What’s next? Perhaps documenting all of my DVD’s into my “Films I own” list here on Spout.Let’s se. We start by ignoring the old VHS tapes, approx 50, because they are outdated. Each shelf contains about 35 movies and at the moment I have almost 12 full of them. That would be, in round numbers, 400 movies. Every one of them bought at the store, believe it or not. Not a single one downloaded or purchased at the some of the less legal markets that you find outside of Sweden. Unfortunately there are plenty more movies that I would like to see, ergo need to buy, unless I catch them at the old television. So why keep up this madness? Spending a fortune on movies when there are other alternatives? I simple like to have the possibility to take a movie of the shelf when I need to. It’s a freedom that is hard to express. To see that mighty library of entertainment in all shapes and colors just waiting for you.My simple question i ... " [More]

"This would be a simple launch of something pathetic comparing to the fanatic people that you find here. I have not seen as many movies as others here and I am not an expert so the question would be: why bother? The answer is as stupid as the question. I love movies, like the rest of you. The question that is important is not why I write but why you should read. Correct me if I’m wrong. So why? No reason.I will keep on writing good stuff about new and old movies nonetheless. Hopefully it will give some entertainment to the rest of you. Enjoy! " [More]
