Find movies you'll love
Personal statement:

My motto is: You can never see too many movies.

Im up to almost any genre BUT horror. No HORROR for me, please! Even really good-interesting( or so bad it is almost funny) I cannot watch cause afterwards I just get so scared I cannot sleep for days. I like sleeping too much to endanger that.

...and P.S. I apologize my grammar in advance! Mistakes will be made!

"Hi!I am Elli. New in Spout. I found Spout watching the Four Eye Monster -movie in Youtube. This is a place for me. Movie fanatic like the rest.Genres are great. I guess I mostly enjoy good comedies with a sparkle of darkness/drama. Like Little Miss Sunshine, Garden State or Lost in Translation. But I get trully excited with good action scifi stuff like the marvelous Sunshine or the first The Matrix. I love to spend time with good animation like the old Disneys The Little Mermaid or The Lion King or Japanese creations like Miyazaki`s Sen To Chihiro No Kamikakushi. When I want something really romantic I watch Before Sunset. I regard Clueless as a classic. Fabuleux destin dÁmelie Poulain makes me smile, some Bollywood movies and Moulin Rouge (in the end) makes me cry and Quentin´s Kill Bills makes me want to go jogging. Horror I cannot watch because with my over active imagination I get nightmares. Usually I prefer to see a movie I haven´t yet seen over a good mov ... " [More]

"I found the surroundings interesting (being an art school student myself) and the characters in it seemed suitable but I just got really fed up with the main character`s problems to make up his mind. He was so passive it got annoying. It made the whole movie passive. Ok movie but nothing spectacular. " [More]

"Hi Spout! I would love to list all the movies which moved me lately but that would take too much time cause like any self respecting movie fan Ive seen more than I can mention. Instead Im gonna tell about movie I saw last night. After the Wedding (Efter brylluppet 2006) is a film from Denmark. Last year Oscar nominated in the best foreign film category. It tells a story of a man, Jacob, who has to make decision between the familiar ideal ideas of youth (saving the world) and the reality he was not aware of (saving his family). The movie was strong and touching drama with absolutely fantastic acting work that got close to the skin. Director Susanne Bier used a lot close ups of peoples eyes and faces. She was able to demonstrate the storming of feelings inside the characters in such a delicate way it was not only beliavable but also enjoyable. Most of the story took place in rich, clean and green Denmark. While demonstrating the poor kids of India it didn´t raise the contrast t ... " [More]
