When I read the description to this movie I figured it would have to be one to see. I only became more interested when seeing an entire shelf at Hollywood Video dedicated to it's DVD release. But it wasn't until I put "Shockwave" into my player was I blown away.
BLOWN away because of how horribly AWFUL the acting, cinematography, visual effects and plot were. The sad thing is, it was SO awful, it became good. Not just good... I'm close to saying 'great'. If you by chance love classic b-flicks from the 70's and 80's, then you have to watch this movie. From the opening 10 minute scene of killer robots, I had flashbacks of "Clash of the Titans", tied with cheap death gimmicks recently seen in "Snakes on a Plane"... but the dialogue and acting completely tapped it off for me.
I almost felt I was watching a porno without any nudity or sex. Don't believe me, get a full glass of wine, spend some time with a 'close' friend and WATCH this movie. Afterwards, send me a message and tell me I wasn't right.
