"As someone who grew up on star wars, the thought of mentioning Return of the Jedi as overrated seems blasphemous. But if you look at it on its own without the first two, it seems lucas pieced together the story line and wanted to sell stuffed ewoks at xmas. it just doesnt seem that he had the entire story to 9 movies planned as he says and wanted to start at 4. On a different note, I dont notice anyone mentioning taxi driver. love all the actors and think scorsese should have an oscar by now, but think that its status is maintained by film critics and university professors, not by anyone who actually watched it. "Catch 22 was so bad - maybe i need film apprec class but it was bad. some books just dont translate well (ie dune). also, is schindler's list a war movie? if so, speilberg has 2 spots locked up. " [More]
