"Guess it depends on the age. #1 film that scared me was Evil Dead but this was in 8th Grade. At a friends birthday part with all the lights out in mixed company. UGGGHHH...I want my mommy. <curling up in the fetal position> As a younger kid, Wizzard of Oz and the Incredible Hulk (yes I know it was a TV Show. but still scared me when I was around 5). How about Halloween III when the bugs came crawling out of the mouth of some person. UGGGH. " [More]

One of the Best Films for 2006
By Rock in Rock Blog
Was this review helpful? [Be the first to tell us!]
"Here is one of the best films for 2006. Bloody Head shots and gratuitous usage of "FUCK" a side. This film keeps you on the edge of your seat. Waiting to see who finds who first. No wait, who gets whacked next, or wait, was that a revenge killing or was he part of this charade too? The sex seen just seemed like the typical oh wait, a Rated R film cannot be R without one. Mostly this was due to character development between the two characters. My head is still reeling from the jump of I'm your paitent and now friend to lets jump in bed together even though your moving in with someone else. The film would have been better by just skipping this unrealistic love triangle. Leonardo DiCaprio put in a great performance. One of his best since "What's eating Gilbert Grape." I'm usually fond of Mark Wahberg's performances, but this one seems a little pushed from him and was more a supportive than primary role. Matt Damon has again put a performance that is on par with his Born ... " [More]

"[quote user="Risselada"] This sentence doesn't seem to go with the rest. Haha, it hit me as really weird in the middle of the rest of it. [/quote] It goes back to the first portion of where he sleeps with Actresses before they can be in a movie. Since Producers fund Films, he gets to sleep with more Actresses. And then we know that he and his wife talk rather than have sex (I can't blame him) so it gives him something else to do. " [More]

"Every film made (other than the films he was in) would fall under this category. He is the king of film Every director pays him hommage to make a film. He sleeps with every actress for them to be allowed to act in ANY film. He gets to fight and beat up every actor in order for them to be in film. He gives the Producers money to make films so he has something to do other than talk to his wife. He became Govenor because he thought Reagan was a puss. Plus he wants to push legistlation thru so he can become President. He is also in negotiations to be the First World President. " [More]

Re: Mann handling Eastwood

"Terry makes your top 5? I'm not sure why. Nothing he has done (and so limited) has really stood out in the masses. His films have been more of a novelty and for those limited film buffs. Crumb being a documentary wouldn't receive much a do in the masses. Very few documentaries have done that. Bad Santa....Granted I haven't seen it, but I have no desire to. The previews never grabbed me. The story line doesn't grab me either. So is that a story issue or a director issue? If you cannot grab your audience is that the fault of the writer or the fault of the direct unable to convey the message of the writer? Interesting mix to say the least. I do agree and see merrit with numbers 3 and 4 of your list. For me in no particular order 1) Kevin Smith 2) Catherine Hardwicke 3) Michael Mann 4) Clint Eastwood 5) Martin Scorsese " [More]
