"Ingrid Bergman will knock your socks off. This is an incredible movie, but the scene where she cuts loose and goes nuts on Charles Boyer isthe most amazingly well-acted scene I've seen in my life. " [More]

San Jose Film Festival
By Kim_Kelly in David Strathairn Fans
"I was lucky enough to see DS speak at the San Jose Film Festival. He was beingawarded the "Maverick" award for his diversity in roles. At that event, a TV moviewas shown that also starred Sissy Spacek - he was on death row, about to beexecuted and she was, (trying to remember...) an ex-girlfriend? Anyway, itwas a bit melodramatic but as always, his acting was amazing. Unfortunately,I cannot remember the name of the film, although I'm sure it's in the imdb. What surprised me about him in person (I did not meet him - the line was waytoo long), was that he was very shy and seemed quite humble. You'd neverguess he was a famous actor, he had such a nice way about him...I used to work with a woman who was an extra in City of Hope and saidhe was one of the nicest guys she'd ever worked with. Good to know! " [More]

"This movie was without question, the inspiration for "Men In Black",except that John Sayles is a far superior director and Will Smith wisheshe was half the actor Joe Morton is. A wonderful tale of feeling like afish out of water... " [More]

"Anyone with an appreciation for the comedies of the ~40's will like this movie. Clooney channels Cary Grant as a smitten, although seemingly heartless divorceattorney. I can't say I usually care for Zeta-Jones, but she is scathing in this film! They're both gorgeous, hilarious and the chemistry is palpable. Love it. " [More]

"... but not a full picture of Che's life as an activist. I know a lot of people who didn't like this film because it didn't offer a complete history, but I thought the movie, if taken on it's own merits, was gorgeous, well-acted; a thoroughly enjoyable story. " [More]
