"One film in particular has come back to haunt me and that is "Zardoz" Quite possiblily the worst film Sean Connery was ever in. I recently rented it again and really enjoyed it since it is so bad! The dialogue is so bad that it's memorable. The special effects are hilarious and worth seeing! And seeing Sean Connery prance around in ared jock strap for most of the film is priceless! In fact I'm going to host a Zardoz outdoor movie party on my lawn next month! Let me know if you want to attend and experience one of my favorite classic cult B movies. " [More]

Re:Double features

"In the summer of 1975 I worked as a private duty orderly/attendant to a guy in a wheelchair. He use to have me drive his van to double feature drive-in movies about 3 times a week. I can't recall which films played together but I do remember seeing, "Hanny Caulder" with revenge seeking, kick butt cowgirl Rachel Welch, "Crazy Larry, Dirty Mary" - wow what an ending - didn't see that one coming!! Re:Episode 3: KEY WITNESS
By dickbuist in Butterknife
"Porcupine, that's an excellent observation regarding his photographing her as a means of dealing with his videotaping failure earlier in the day. I missed that and I think you may on to something there.I really like the shot composition of her stuck under the bed. I found myself very worried that when she was adjusting the leveling thing that somehow she was going to get seriously pinched. Yet I kind of hoped that she would get hurt to see how he would deal with it since she seems to be the more caring and nurturing partner. " [More]

Re:Episode 4: BONGO BOARD
By dickbuist in Butterknife
"I noted a physical theme that ran throughout this episode was regarding lower extremities. First Ron's friend cleaning his toes, then Mary describing the child with his legs in the cast. And while she did that there's the great shot composition between Ron's legs moving back and forth - which was kind of funny. However, Ron balancing on the bongo board to me symbolized the somewhat shaky condition that his life is in. And having Mary trying to balance with him didn't seem to help matters much which I took as a foreshadowing of tension to come between them. " [More]
