"Have you seen the title, you get what you pay for. Thank god we rented, but this was a decent B movie. Not nearly as much sexual humor as some of the similar trash that was out there. Keep in mind that I am trying to rate refuse. My god, I have to sleep now " [More]

Re: Bleach

"They do just keep getting more powerful. Don't get me wrong, this is definitely a fluff anime, lacking in substance but making up for in superficial entertainment value. For me, it is a carry over series until I can find something more substantial. Until then, I guess I will enjoy it as best I can. The Bonto stuff was really bad. ...Especially the music.......and the Bonto. " [More]

Bleach
By Nul in Anime Lovers
"Hey yah,Just finished episode 120 of bleach the other day. Definitely B.A. And I really enjoyed the twists that the series had to offer. However, the very end of the episode made me feel like a sad panda. I don't like how they develop some stupid technique just to fight more powerful enemies. Sometimes I wonder if all series that run this long are just some stupid variation of dragonball. And a stupid variation of something stupid does not equal something f***'n metal.Um, seven. " [More]

Not for the faint of heart

"In Lain, we were introduced to a poor little girl going through the troubles of growing up, meeting new people, and dire conflict with the god of a virtual world seeking to bring humanity into the internet. Normal stuff that you, I, or anyone went through as we were growing up. Here we have another series from the same creators, delivering a new colorful story with very few similarities. Like Lain, Texhnolyze deals in the abstract sometimes. However, because the topic of this anime is the human condition (how bad things can get), Texhnolyze sets and extraordinarily darker tone that is both violently and sexually charged. Hence, the subject of the review being what it is. In a brief summary: In the future, some of mankind has been forced to live below the surface of the earth. The people forced to live below are often violent and impoverished. Many are forced to fight and do cruel things to survive, and others work to supply the people on the hill a rare resource that i ... " [More]

"I will throw up my list later today (Monday). But I just wanted to comment; I am not a fan of ecchi. In general, I think it can ruin a lot of anime. Granted, the stuff that it is supposed to have it, i.e. excel saga and popotan, the more power to it. However, I watch anime for the unique stories and humor. Ecchi just doesn't work into either of those categories. That is just my personal opinion, though. The only thing that came out of Popotan for me was an opening theme song that infected my brain. Almost to the point of *kaploey.* That is not a good thing, for me... " [More]
Just another Jackie

"I like jackie chan movies because I kind of think of them as chewing gum for the mind. Sometimes the movies are action packed as all hell and other times they are just fun. Twin Dragons was just a movie that was fun for me to watch. It was not particularly action packed but it had some really good humorous parts to it. The best part involves to vehicles and pinball noises. I could not help but feel as though this movie was geared for children. Just a little too lighthearted I guess. If you really have to see a Jackie chan movie, then I guess watch it, but I would still go for a classic like supercop, rumble in the bronx, or First Strike. " [More]

"Texhnolyze is an american release, I picked it up from Best Buy. Lain is hard to follow, that was one of the reasons I liked it. Made it a lot more difficult to second guess what was going to happen. Texhnolyze was difficult to follow at times too, but that was because of all the different factions and the relatively avant-guarde format that the series was presented. " [More]
