"Yep. Title pretty much says it all. The movie has little plot. If it were written as a story, I would get bored pretty quickly. However, its saving grace is its action scenes, which were pretty damn kick-ass. In addition, there were plenty of good-lookin' people in there although I couldn't really grasp Agent 47 as a character. More background on him would have been nice... Well- more plot would have been nice although the violent scenes were fun. Feels like a watered-down Bourne movie. " [More]

"Oh gosh, me too! I love those little notes that just explain everything.. I think one of my favorite fansubs is Samurai Champloo. In the beginning of each episode, if there's some cultural references, they always include it... Actually... come to think of it... I think I've never actually seen licensed subs.......... 0.0 Or maybe I did..... I don't know... >.< I watched ALL my anime on the internet... Never bought any~ Part of being the Cheap Asian. :D Also on the topic of subs vs. dubs (since I didnt comment on it before), I've personally never liked any dubs except for Howl's Moving Castle.... Most of the other ones I've heard just made me cringe. Dunno.... they just seem like anime voice-over versions of soap operas. They're somehow *too* expressive and too fake. I don't doubt that the voice actors are passionate about their work, but compared to the Japanese seiyuus, they're just not quite up to par. Meh... *shrug* Just my ... " [More]

And then I tried looking it up online to see if there was an english version somewhere, but no luck. The closest I got was an used original japanese version of the book... "Oh gosh, that reminds me! My cousin bought me a book that's sort of a prequel to the manga series about the case that L and the girl FBI agent worked on in LA. The title translates to Death Note Another Note: the los angeles BB serial killing case. Or something. But I haven't even begun reading it because the chinese vocab is so hard.. TT.TT But I do have it in front of my desk for mindless worship and admiring at convenient times. XD " [More]

"Ha... I can't believe you actually bother to remember what days are the birthdays of the characters. Anyway, do you let your dad read your mangas all the time? Haha.. But seriously. If there would be a manga which adults would like, I think it would be Death Note just because it's more serious and more.. "intelligent".. Heh. And even though, yes, Light did remain on his purpose even when he got a little power-hungry, there is still the point of the fact that he was looking at the criminals' cases too simply. I don't think he can judge those criminals based on just information off the internet. There would have been little facts about the cases that could have changed his view about whether or not they should have received death. I suppose if that argument was brought up, he would have shrugged and said they would have been sacrificed for the greater good. But it all boils down to... Who died and made him king? Wow. My english teacher would totally murder me for that sentence if he ever saw it.. X/ Anyway.. I got more volumes of Death Note this week too!! It was an early christmas present from my friend though. And yes, I agree with you. It looks totally awesome on my bookshelf as opposed to just reading it online. X3 Wow.. I want some Death Note merchandise!! Mwahaha.. my sisters owe me lots of presents. I think I'm going to make them buy me death note stuff... MWAHAHAHA!! What Near said at the end.... "But at least the subs are understandable, right? Heh, it was funny... When I was watching the one with the chinese subs, my friend was with me at that time, and she isn't chinese, so I translated as we were going along.. X/ I think I made her more confused on some parts though.. 0.0 That scene is amusing though. There will be another one later on with Light saying something like Near "isn't as good as L"...
