""We can't stop here. This is bat country." This is definitely one of those polarizing films that people either hate or love. I personally think it is a great film, worthy of any DVD collection (I own this one) and I do agree that the film does tend to unravel half way through, but I believe that was Gilliam's intentions. The film lures you in with the funny dialoague and weird visuals and before you know it, you're trapped in this crazy, hedonistic world that Thompson resides in. Of course, you feel like you have a drug hangover at the end of the movie. That's exactly how you're supposed to feel. "
